Development

The Drain Scoop was developed by, Kairi Jefferies, in year 2001 as a result of his professional experience as a bartender. Mr. Jefferies recognized the need for a product that could exclude any water from being scooped up with the ice being taken from a bin, container or bucket. This new device is designed to allow excess water to flow through the three slots located at the bottom and back of the scoop before placing the ice in a glass.

The Drain Scoop is manufactured from a durable, light-weight aluminum in a 10 oz. size and can be used in a variety of household and commercial applications. With the Drain Scoop, the user will be able to retrieve ice from the container, pause for a moment while the excess water drains and pour the ice into the glass. This method of water exclusion allows the server to provide his/her guests, clients or patrons with a satisfying refreshment.
